Sarawak Bubur Pedas
Spicy flavour Sarawak Bubur Pedas (Spicy Porridge) consist of various spices such as turmeric, lemongrass, galangal, chillies, ginger, coconut and shallots. It is a popular dish during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
Bamboo Clam
Bamboo clam is commonly cooked in a mild curry or steamed in Chinese white wine, could also be cook with Sarawak Black pepper. This dish is available at some of the seafood restaurant in Kuching
Mee Jawa
Mee Jawa or also known as Mee Bandung is blanched yellow noodles served with shredded chickens, bean sprouts, potato, hard -boiled egg and slice tofu, topped with delicious tomato based rich gravy and a slice of lime for extra kick. Some would like it with Satay, chucks of marinated chicken or beef on skewers which are grilled over a charcoal fire.

Umai Obor -Obor
This is also one of sarawak cuisine. This is a famous dishes among sarawakian. This 'Umai' also can be obor-obor or raw fish. Its simple to make. Its has a unique flavour. People use lime juice (Limau) to cooked it.
Sarawak Cuisines
When talked about Sarawak, first comes in mind is this. ( In the picture). Laksa sarawak!A noodle with a unique taste. Laksa Sarawak is in that it is a fusion between Penang Assam Laksa and Curry Laksa. It is both tamarind and based on coconut milk. Its is not greasy or 'lemak' as curry laksa and it is no sourish as Penang Assam Laksa. You should try 'Laksa Sarawak' if you want to try something that unique with twisted flavour.
